Oil and filter changed! Cost w/ purchase of Topsider = about $100.
Took about 30 minutes w/ the Topsider as is easy to get to much vacuum = hose clamps shut = have to bleed off a little vacuum to get flow started again. Total time was about an hour as I dinked and made sure of things as it was my 1st. time on this car.
Car has 3,400 miles, 1 st. oil change and the filter was almost frozen, very tight.
The Topsider drained about 8 qts. and 4 oz. I put 8 qts. back in and the dipstick shows 3 little lines low. Ugliest dip stick I ever saw and hard to read when oil is clean.
FSS - gave up for that session. (I think while driving back from Fl. after purchase, pushing buttons, etc., w/ no knowledge)...I may have reset-anyway-never saw anything while fiddling w/ it, usually both displays were blank and I never got 7,000 miles - once I did see a clock w/ a hand at 1,145 think was also an oil can at right.
Will play w/ it a little today then maybe scream for Help!
I spilled no oil and my next oil and filter change will cost only about $60.
There's a method to resetting the FSS...it's detailed in the service manual which you can download here:
