The finish I use is a high grade auto grade. I have had it on mine for appx 6 months and it still looks like new.
It has a automotive clearcoat finish on it as well. You take care of it as you would exterior body panels. I don't use paste wax but use a polish and glaze. Most of the time I just wipe it with a little spray detailer.
