In neutral standing still my 2006 base coupe will not go over 4,300 rpm. This is when all fuses are in, when only 18 is pulled, and when 17 & 18 are pulled.
Now when fuse 18 is only pulled the orange abs and bas lights come on and the traction control cant be turned on or off. I can rev it up and drop the clutch and it will burn rubber as long as it can and chirp second hard. No signs of any TC. If i pull 17 & 18 there is no difference in launching.
Now as far as getting to redline in both instances I CAN. Pulls all the way hard with no problems.
Kind of weird that it wont let me rev past 4,300 EVER but i can run it to redline no matter what.
So what do you all think about that. Bone stock.
I can push the little button on the dash...rev it up, dump the clutch and spin 'em for a few feet, powershift 2nd and chirp 'em hard, powershift 3rd and chirp 'em. All without pulling a fuse, WHY would I want to give up 1,500 rpm?
In my (albeit limited) time on this forum, there's 2 things you can count on...HDDP knows more about Crossfires mechanicals than you, and Andrew knows more about keeping Crossfires clean than you!
Maybe I'm wrong...but I don't think so!
