If it matters I also did this and noticed the two intake ducts from the grill for the stock intake are blocking air. So all I did was take the grill off and pull out those two duct assemblies out and wow way more air getting to those intake filters... I can actually get home from driving on the freeway and the intake tube is not to warm.
