Default Re: Driving in the rain

The very first test drive I took in the Crossfire I headed up a steep hilly road with a bunch of blind turns. I was just starting to get a feel of the thing when it started to snow ! Hard, fast out-of-no-where snow storm. (typical Cincinnati March !) Here I am, have not driven a stick in 12 years, high horsepower rear wheel drive SHORT wheelbase car with fat performance tires ...

I quickly discovered ESP/TC/ABS systems are very nice to have.

Car was not a bit scary, very composed and confident in fact.

Now, I'll never let any road salt see my Crossfire if I can help it. I have an old Cherokee to get me through winter-time slop and take that kind of abuse. But rain is really no problem with the Contis. Once you slap on a set of DOT legal "R" compound autocross tires then, yes, maybe you should stay out of the wet stuff !
