Driving in the rain
i've been hauling my four drawer tool box (of heavy) and a milk crate of paint and tools lately to work on my jeep with the crossfire ... and you're feeling bad about a little dirty water ? hahaha...
don't worry ... if it looks bad in a few years, great excuse to get some really nice paint ... i want dark copper metallic or intense blue on mine...
I also drive all summer in the xfire but risk of hail and she's tucked away. Winter well I just can't help myself on the best days, I do change over to my winter tires just to be safe.
Some don't understand how a car can become such a part of you or why we spend 3 hours with touch-up paint and wax job, could be done faster but I'm having fun.

if it's raining when i'm ready to leave home, i won't take the Crossfire out. if i get stuck in the rain while i'm already out, no big deal.
winter is another story...i have two Jeeps and will be glad to leave the Crossfire in the garage until April 1st.

The Crossfire does just fine in the rain and not too bad in the snow as long as you have snow tires! If you leave summer tires on it you will go nowhere fast.
Like many others here, my car is a daily driver, so it goes everywhere and hauls just about anything I ask of it.

I bought this car to drive and that is what I intend to rain or shine. Don't get me wrong I do take very good care of her and I always have a few extra rigs to choose from if there is a need. But I enjoy the crossfire to much to fire up anything else I own.
Since like many of you my car is my daily driver, I have no choice but to drive in sun, rain, or snow. Now that I am at school and constantly driving my friends around with dirty/muddy shoes, I went ahead and purchased some MOPAR XFire rubber slush mats. Come in multiple colors, mine are slate gray and have the OEM Chrysler logo printed on them. Should be arriving Friday. Got them from Wychoff Chrysler online, $71.81 plus about $7 bucks for shipping. Will let you all know how they fit and such. Just trying to prepare/save my plush carpet for the coming winter months!

It's my weekend/sunny day car and will be 'stored' for ~ 7 months out of the year.
Some knock me for it, and tell me drive it every day or 'Drive the wheels off of it.'
But hey, to each their own.

i check the weather daily before going out... if it 20% chance of rain it stays in the garage...
I guess that, at the end of the day, The Crossfire (a.k.a. "Cassie" [ short for Cassandra the Crossfire]) is my rain car! When it's sunny I'm on my Ninja (a.k.a. "Ninji"). During the winter I drive the Cougar (a.k.a. "Cougie"). Yes, my wife has named all of our vehicles... kinda cute, I think. She also has a Kia (a.k.a. "Kiki")... but I avoid driving it unless I'm taking the dog somewhere. I don't even want to tell you how many names the dog has.
I got the coupe as my all-weather car. The SRT-6 is only for warm, dry, sunny days. As I ride the bus, I don't drive that much anyway. Since I got it, I've only driven the coupe in the rain twice. It seems to have survived.
My wife doesn't like riding in the coupe so when winter comes, we'll probably end up using her Escape most of the time. The SRT-6 won't be driven in the snow at all and the coupe will only be driven when the Escape is unavailable.
