Re: SRT-6 Dealer Auction Prices
Lets take a little history lesson. In the late 60's the muscle cars like the 427 vettes and the dodge superbirds were going cheep. Mainly because the price of gas at that time was going up and john q public couldn't imagine owning something that would cost him so much. Dealers did everything to get rid of them. I'm not sure but the price, I imagine, was around 50 cents a gallon for gas(imagine that !). Anyway, these cars now are going for $500,000 to a cool million depending on the condition.
I'm not saying what the future will bring but I know they are not making the SRT-6's any more and they are a deal at today's prices. I cant touch a clean small block mid year corvettevett under 30 thousand. I get better performance, handling and the looks are excellent too. Plus a 3 year warranty. Say what you like,I'll keep my SRT-6, have a lot of fun, and who knows, maybe John Q will wake up and the prices will start skyrocketing like they should.
