I'm not sure but the price, I imagine, was around 50 cents a gallon for gas(imagine that !). Anyway, these cars now are going for $500,000 to a cool million depending on the condition.
I'm not saying what the future will bring but I know they are not making the SRT-6's any more and they are a deal at today's prices. I cant touch a clean small block mid year corvettevett under 30 thousand. I get better performance, handling and the looks are excellent too. Plus a 3 year warranty. Say what you like,I'll keep my SRT-6, have a lot of fun, and who knows, maybe John Q will wake up and the prices will start skyrocketing like they should.
Yup History, got my New 1969 GTO for about $4,200, because of that Expensive 50 Cent a gal gas in California in '69.

Traded in my 1966 Dodge Charger 383 4B on it, should have Never done it, that Car is a Classic, they both are.

(BTW I traded in my 2 year old 1964 1/2 289 Mustang 2+2 Fastback on the Charger, there was a Real Classic)!
