The plymouth in today's Nada auction guide goes for $431,000 that is "1970 Plymouth Superbird 2 Door Hardtop (Hemi 426).
These are the types of cars people didn't want, that is what I was saying.
And what reasoning did you use for selling yours?
You can't compare a Hemi car to a SRT-6, they made less than 200 Hemi wing cars, 2,425 wing cars total. AND wing cars, while they didn't sell particularly well, after ~ 1974 NEVER sold for less than the original sticker price. I bought mine in 1987 in California for $5,600. from the Original Owner with 41k original miles. I detailed it, and owned it for 10 years, sold it to a good friend for $45,000 in 1997. He sold it ~ 2000 for $60,000. The 4th owner did a Rotisserie resto, Invested ~ $70,000 in the Resto. Pebble Beach standards, way better than stock, and he sold it last fall for 175K. Prices have softened as of late.
The reason I sold it? It was NOT fun anymore. When I bought it I beat the crap out of it every weekend. Cruise nights, Street Racing (I was 21 years old) etc... When they got to be worth 45+K I got out, too hard to repair and find parts etc... I actually have more fun now with the SRT-4 ACR and my wife's SRT-6.
