That would probably be the first time I've ever been called uptight, and it's probably been a good 30 years since someone called me a brat. Come on, guys... I've got a Crossfire, for chrissakes. Compared to THAT, the Hyundai is... well, less than my idea of a perfect car.

In case I was too subtle, the post above would be an example of what we former English majors would call hyperbole; gross exaggeration to make a point. It's a literary device I was using in an (apparently failed) attempt at humor. "I miss my Crossfire, I like it better than a rented Hyundai" would have been something of an exercise in obviousness, now wouldn't it?

Besides, last time I checked, even the most politically correct people drew the line at having to be nice to cars. Especially ugly, gutless, poor-handling, spongy-suspension, cheaply-made, rattly little go-carts like a Hyundai Sonata.

Damn, I went and did it again. Send in the protesters and the Hyundai Anti-Defamation League!
