Actually a friend of mine bought a Hyundai Santa Fe and for a small SUV I was very impressed with it's quality. Even the hood closes with a solid thunk... very much like our beloved Crossfires. The Santa Fe is remarkably solid and has good power of a small SUV.

I would take it over a lot of the oriental SUVs. And some American SUVs as well...But I'll be keeping my Explorer and my Crossfire for many years to come.

All I'm saying is that if you haven't had the opportunity I've had to check one out close up... Don't knock it.... As I did before I knew what I was talking about.
