On my 2006 Roadster Limited I have the top catch without the release button. What is the proper way of lowering & securing the top after it stops the 8" from the windshield. To grab the handle by pulling down & then when it gets close to the windshield twist the handle or just turn the handle when I grab the top then twist it to lock. When I just pull it down without twisting the handle it "slams" into the windshield frame top.
