Dag-gone it, Ya got me into another money-time sucking HOBBY !
I checked around and the combination of the 2.4 Gig radio and local parts availability convinced me to get a Blade CX II just like yours !
You are right, this is a real blast to fly. It's a little tricky but I'm getting my thumb-coodination together now and I don't break blades every time I fly anymore ! The things are the "Mustang GT" of electric helicopters. There are so many aftermarket hop-up parts it's just amazing.
Here's a really cool NO-COST mod to try now that you have some flight-time; pry out the little brass weights from the plastic cups at the end of the fly-bar. They are slotted and will just fall off the bar once poked out of the cups. You don't even have to take off the Fly-bar !
This reduced rotating weight is all good. throttle response greatly improves.
No more "overshoot" when you cut the throttle to avoid hitting the ceiling !

The controls become more responsive and movements are more controllable. It's like a Sprint Booster on your Crossfire gas pedal! Your flight times/battery life will improve and you will notice less altitude drop when you send large rudder inputs. It's all good !
You can pry the weights out with a paperclip ! Couldn't be easier !
I'm trying to trim weight so I have a carbon fiber rear boom on order along with a third battery and a set of "ultra-flex" skids. My original body is already getting pretty beat-up so I might as well upgrade. I'll switch to a more scale appearance body later once my flying skills are tuned-up.
I've got my eyes on a NOTAR (NoTailRotor) body like the Hamilton County Sherrifs Department flys! Scroll down to check out some of the available bodies...
