no one ever does ... till they are removing U shaped rods out of a engine ... stuff happens on the road that is not controllable. i got hit by a freak wave created by a 18 wheeler going way too fast past me through standing water which ended my 2.0 turbos life in a previous project car, my filter was way further up than that.
