I have this engine torn apart right now and it's quite interesting... One of the big HP problems I see is the charge air cooler "intercooler" is smack dab wedged in the middle of the V block (the hottest part of the engine) under the supercharger with 5/8" thin wall, un-insulated aluminum tube feeding re-circulated hot water from the engine coolant overflow tank. So, I'm having to do some re-engineering on the charge air cooler to increase the tube size to 3/4" insulated heat sink tube with a custom coolant tank and 3.5" x 6.5" x 18" heat exchanger from Bell Intercoolers and a 6.9 gpm Johnson marine pump. And also going to insulate the intercooler from the heat of the block when it's reinstalled.
