I find the best "launch" is achieved by putting it in 1st, holding the brake pedal with the left foot (to stop you "creeping") and as you hit the pedal, let go of the brake. This needs to be a small sharp application of the throttle (to limit wheel spin) and when that is controlled plant the throttle into the carpet quickly. In comparison to before, it feels like I never used to get full throttle" it is so different, but so much easier to wheel spin until you get the balance right. This is with Traction control "off" and the gearbox on the "S" setting.
