I can back this guy up. Having owned a MINI Cooper S from new for three years, I can tell you they are very quick and fun. If the Mini has a good driver behind the wheel you want to avoid these cars in a tight road course. If it has lighter wheels and tires and a pulley you may want to avoid it in a drag race as well. I once stayed right next to a 2005 Corvette from light to light. The Corvette owner made me pull over and how my engine to him. When I was selling my big brake kit to the MINI racers, I had the chance to do quite a few laps at Texas World Speedway with a top Mini Driver. I watched one by as we flew passed Corvettes, Mustangs, WRX's and even Porsche's and Ferrari's. The biggest kick was drafting the back bumper of a Ferrari 599 until we finally got pissed and moved over to let us by. I learned that day the Mini was very capable in the right hands.
