And finally improve on the intercooler and we will have a pretty well performing vehicle.. no less than the c6 vettes at least...
Once I do the rims, tires, brake lines, dust-free pads, and basic suspension work, ($5,000+) i will do start doing the basic engine stuff and this surely seams to be the way to go...
O and **** the smog check guy...
Gotta move out of state to skip the smog check guy - and that's not going to happen.
I plan on adding a SLK55 V8 AMG intake and Y-pipe, Iridium spark plugs, Dual A/F gauge, Boost gauge & Oil pressure gauge prior to the performance mods mentioned. Still debating the need for an Oil temp gauge; would be nice but just no room unless I decide to pillar mount one of the gauges.
Leading Edge does not have my trust for the OD Pulley. ASP communicates with me so they get my business.
I'm lucky because I like the stock SRT rims & PS2 's. The resonator is removed, the car is lowered, my brake upgrade is done, granted minor upgrades but I'm happy with the OEM setup. I don't plan on tracking the car so I don't see the need to change everything.
I'm getting close to performance mods!! - Would like to save some $$ on a set of decent headers but can't find a better deal for bolt-on's.
Intercooler upgrade is still down the road - I need to do more research but have a few ideas.
I figure at $25K for the new SRT6 plus $6K - $7K for performance mods still gets me a killer ride for around $32K.
