Default Re: The Final Word Cold Air Intake. Does It help produce power ???

You are right I love the intake and I'm not blasting it by any means but I was able to create something almost the same just not running it through the front of the radiator for about $200 including a $60 K&N filter on my n/a 3.2 engine. Granted the pics I posted were rough but once i had it heat coated primer black it looked just as good. I just cant justify spending $500 for the same tube I had, an emblem, a piece to extend through to behind the grille an elbow and a filter. I feel I could make that system for $300 maybe less if I bought an $80 3 inch intercooler kit off ebay and tig welded it up myself. I wish there was the best of both worlds not dropping $800 - $1,000 for a stock air box look ,not having to do any modifications besides the m113 boxes but also not spending $500 on something that isn't worth $500. I'm sure I'm going to catch hell for saying this and by no means do i hope this drives people contributing to the after market for these vehicles away but I am personally tired of the price gouging on ecu tunes and pulleys but I'm starting to categorize this intake along with them.
