I believe that this whole headlight issue is just another one of those things that we've inherited from MB. In the Washington DC area it seems that about every fourth car is a MB. I see a lot, and I mean a LOT of pretty new MB's and their headlights look foggy or hazy. It took my old Subaru 10 years to get that bad but it seems it takes an MB about 3 years.
