We purchase "Transportation Damage" units all the time. These are cars that have something happen at the factory, they put them off to the side, then go back and make the repairs before the car ever leaves Chrysler. There is a disclosure statement that tells what damage happened at Factory though. We hang a copy in the window, and the customer must sign a copy when they take delivery of the car. I'm not sure about all the laws, but I know you're better to just tell someone from the start that 90% of all cars on the road have had something done to them at some point. Also, Transportation damage won't ever show up on a CarFax.
