As I've said before in other tire threads on this forum, I think $2k is a lot of money for a set of tires on what is basically a blvd cruiser. The car is fun to drive, but a true high performance car it's not. With max speed limits in this country of 75 MPH, unless you're racing or auto crossing your car, I truely believe other tires at half the price will suffice.
I agree with pageoneresults, there are other "quality" tires out there at half the cost. One of which is the Goodyear F1... not exactly"cheapo" in my book. In fact I would wager the "average" XF driver would not notice the difference between any of the tires avalible in our size when compared with the Michelin Pilot 2. Everyone to their own choice tho...... if you want to spend the $2k, go for it.
