what do you recommend then? Stainless headers are not a nessesity
If you had to calculate your time fabing up your own headers, your probably looking at 4 days worth of work maybe a week.
$600 for plain steel or $900 is cheap for ceramic coated steel headers that makes another 20hp. I have better things to do with my time than spends weeks making parts and buying tools and supplies to build stuff. plus the guy making the parts needs to pay an employee to weld the headers up, and then there is over head, I mean come on, don't be a cheap ***, the guy need to have some prifit so he can develope other parts for us.
the great thing about making parts for the crossfire is that they will also fit other Mercedes vehicles so the manufactuer is operationg in a larger customer base. I think is a great oportunity.
