BING BING BING.... We have a winner!..

The Detail kit has the buffer/polisher, the wax you'll need, the cleaner wax, the polishes and I believe a claybar kit as well. The claybar step is the single most important step.. Why would you even think about applying a coat of wax on top of a car that hasn't been clay barred? You're basically locking in all the bad contaminants (I can't spell, but I can script my **** off) with a layer of wax if you skip the clay bar step..
Anyway.. I found that the good old clean, claybar, cleaner wax, polish and then some armorall armor plate works pretty well. The armorall armorplate, or eagle one wet is just a watery spray that applies a thin layer of sealant that goes on easy and wipes of easily as well. It adds very little to the actual shine, but your car will feel smoother and softer to the touch and it keeps that shine from the polish and wax locked in a little longer..

There is no miricle wax .. it's all in the person who's doing the work. If you're taking the time to do it right and performing 6 steps the first time, and then 3 steps for the next 8 months you should be quite pleased with the results, regardless of who's products you use.
