Best wax for black paint?
on a black or red car try a coat of red moose machine glaze and then top it off with a coat of pinnacle souveran paste wax and you will be amazed.

BING BING BING.... We have a winner!..
The Detail kit has the buffer/polisher, the wax you'll need, the cleaner wax, the polishes and I believe a claybar kit as well. The claybar step is the single most important step.. Why would you even think about applying a coat of wax on top of a car that hasn't been clay barred? You're basically locking in all the bad contaminants (I can't spell, but I can script my **** off) with a layer of wax if you skip the clay bar step..
Anyway.. I found that the good old clean, claybar, cleaner wax, polish and then some armorall armor plate works pretty well. The armorall armorplate, or eagle one wet is just a watery spray that applies a thin layer of sealant that goes on easy and wipes of easily as well. It adds very little to the actual shine, but your car will feel smoother and softer to the touch and it keeps that shine from the polish and wax locked in a little longer..
There is no miricle wax .. it's all in the person who's doing the work. If you're taking the time to do it right and performing 6 steps the first time, and then 3 steps for the next 8 months you should be quite pleased with the results, regardless of who's products you use.
I spent a afternoon getting my daughters black 05' Sebring back in shape.
I had to Clay-bar/Polish/Zaino, but I think that she was quite happy!
Here are the Before and After pictures.

So that being said; I think I'll stick with providing a them with a good car cleaning, and leave the XFire transfer to a wistful dream on their part.
Thanks for the Kodo's! But I have to admit this was a labor of love, just seeing my daughters whole attitude change about her car as she helped transform her car, from a simple mode of transportation into an object of pride, beauty and love. Another car enthusiast is "Born Again"!
Now if could just get her to buy her own stuff, instead of borrowing/using mine!

I think one of the reasons I bought the second SRT, other than the 25K price, was so that my daughter wouldn't keep having to come up with all those special occasions that she needed or wanted to drive my crossfire. She takes great pride on keeping the exterior very clean. Inside the truck is a different story, there is usually 2 or 3 days of clothes from cross country running. lol She is most certainly a Crossfire lover. And a clean car is so much nicer to drive.

Where do you think those swirls came from?
Why do they come back a few months after you wax your car? After all, the only person swirling anything onto your car is...well...you??
My opinion: Wax is like automobile crack cocaine. Once you get started, you are basically screwed for life. It starts a debilitating cycle of waxing, which never solves the problem - and in some cases makes it worse. Until one day you sit there waxing your car and start telling yourself crazy things like "waxing is necessary for cars to look good!"
My question is, what is the alternative?

Maguire's Cleaner Wax for eight bucks comes out pretty damned good. Add another four bucks and pick up some light polishing compound for stubbborn dirt. Donate an old clean cotton tee-shirt to the cause and you're set for $12. The four hours of time you'll save will give you plenty of time to drive it, and the $30 bucks you could have otherwise spent on products can pay for the gas.
