I don't see the point in wasting time on a short tube header. You'd be better off dumping the front cats, building a long tube header, and using 2 1/2" tubing to make a new 'mid pipe' and get rid of that 2 1/4" exhaust that is down there just after the stock manifolds and first set of cats.

If you are going to go 'custom', I would think you may as well go ahead and go to a long tube.

You could relocate your o2's if needed.
