While at SEMA I ran across a great new product, the Motorsports Hero camera. I have become a dealer and ordered the Motorsport Hero cameras. I am going to offer this camera at a $40 discount off list and sell it for $139.99 plus S&H to forum members in the US.

This is the same price as the standard camera with a wrist strap. The Motorsports version comes with a number of mounting options. Quick release mounts, a suction cup mount, helmet mount and more. I am including an image with the info on it. They are supposed to ship me right after Dec 1st. I have 12 definitely coming in and can order more but the quatities are going to be limited because it is a HOT item.

The camera shoots 3 MP stills (glass lens) and 30 FPS videos in the AVI format and is compatible with PCs and Macs.

I have one of the standard units and used the wrist strap to strap it to the grille. Amazing video on a simple trip to the Post Office. The videos on the site are awesome as well. This is a great little camera to have around at any time and makes a dynamite track recorder for those running at the drags or road courses. Even a liesurely drive through the hills becomes exciting when you see the video from a car's view. A friend of mine has a racing Miata and has used it to video his front suspension moving under load. He plans to use the mounts for a number of things including one camera pointing to the front and another to the rear for even more detail. He is also talking about a third to mount on the dash facint him so he can record his reactions as well.

If you want to research this little gem be sure to look up the Hero3. It is the latest version of the camera (2 batteries instead of one, SD Card slot holds up to 2GB of memory vs non-expandable built in memory. Plus it appears the housing is more substantial. And of course no auto/helmet mounting.)
