If you disconnect the motor the car will actually be electronically limited to 57 mph... it won't go any faster. The spoiler is there because it actually makes a big difference, and it is a safety issue if it isn't functioning. The Crossfire is shaped like a wing, and the spoiler needs to be there to help it stay on the ground.
