Thanks for the information, and believe me, the dealership has not impressed me... but I figure there about ten Crossfires in Ottawa and about zero Chrysler mechanics who are competent to work on them. In any case, the bumber to bumper warranty expired today (still two years on powertrain, though) so for any non-powertrain issues I'll be looking for a decent local garage that specializes in Mercedes.

I absolutely love the car - but I hope somebody out there can fix it when it breaks.
