It's really all about the tires. I've had a Ford Crown Vic that was useless in the snow because it had Michelin Pilot Sport All Season tires on it (which are crappy in ALL weather conditions). I've put blizzaks on a Ford F-150 SVT Lightning, and it went like a dream in deep snow all day long, with 500hp, and no weight over the rear wheels.

Honestly, I'm very impressed with how my crossfire drives in the snow, and I'm sure there are even better winter tires than the Continentals that are on the car right now. Usually "All Season" tires are terrible in the snow, so I'm shocked that these perform as well as they do.
