Default Air filter/intake kit

There's a big difference between the air filter and the air intake kit. I had the K&N air intake kit for my Grand Cherokee which replaced the entire stock system all the way up to the carbuerator with just a wide tube and a cone filter. The difference was like night and day. Imagine trying to run while breathing through a straw. That's what your car does with most stock air filter systems. That's why I posted my question regarding the air intake system for the Crossfire and whether it's similar to the K&N air intake system. Finally, I contacted K&N today and they said they do make tthe filter right now but not the air intake kit. Like others have said, the new filter can't hurt, but it's not even close to what an air intake kit can do for most vehicles.
