All the magazine roadtest put the 6 spd. at nearly a 1/2 second faster in the 1/4 mile. Just because your friend is a "pro" off road racer, doesn't mean he can "speed shift" his Crossfire to victory over yours. You either got the better of him, or his car simply doesn't run as good as yours.
As for which is better, it's purely a personal choice. I prefer to "drag race" with an automatic, but I enjoy "driving" a sports car with a manual tranny.
Usually, which ever cars "title" has my name on it, that's the "better" one.: p
