I am not a pro with working on the cars myself and I don't know how much the headers will cost to install as I will not be DIY this... nor do I have the tools to do so..
I have already spent over $6,000 in aftermarket parts for the crossfire and still have not touched the engine, but that is where I plan to head on next.. as I would really like to increase the performance of my car and am willing to pay top dollar..
What I can tell you is that there was a recent group buy in which within roughly 2-3 weeks $17,000 was spent by srt-6 owners for just pullies and intake.. this goes to show that us crossfire owners are also willing to pay for performance upgrades..
I posted this thread and was excited to see headers for our srt-6 pop up as option.. as we have never had it as an option for performance upgrades in the past... I don't know if you will get 5 us to commit right now.. but I feel asured that 5 sets will sell if the product is released unless the instalation is like $1298310 heh...
At the price for $3,200 which you are selling your stage 2 package for the c32.. it is something I would very likely purchase within the next year unless something better comes along heh.. like your turbine project
In conclusion I would love to have headers possible to purchase at will and with your reputation and skill I am sure you can great product.. and a great product sells itself?
i understand what you are saying, but there is a slight difference between the cost of building a set of headers that are completely custom and ordering a few pieces of tubing/couplers on ebay...
and don't take that as a stab at Needswings, i know him from my SRT-4 days and he is a great guy and I am glad that he is bringing some products together for this vehicle, just trying to distinguish the difference between the 2 projects...
here is where i am coming from right now...i have money invested in several projects right now that i know are going to sell...if i build a set of headers for this car and we test them out and it only puts out 10whp, how many people do you think will pay $950 for 10whp along with install costs if you are not going to do it yourself?
it is a catch-22, i want you guys to commit and you want me to show you the HP gains so that you can commit...
these headers will probably be built at some point no matter what, but they may be put on hold if we can't get 5 guys to step right now...i could have my fabricator start on these tomorrow if we had 5 guys willing to fork over the money...
