my xf has no chrysler emblems on it cause they do not deserve to advertise their name on a car i take care of so well when they will not lift a finger to give it proper service in its dealerships, proper advertising to sell it, or make sure we have parts available to us for many years to come (owners are already reporting dealerships can't get certain parts).
mercedes provided much of the technology, karmann assembled it, chrysler failed to sell it and service it ... i'll gladly fly the karmann emblem because i admire the build quality.
intenseblu nailed it perfectly (and lantana, too). This car is a "Chrysler" in name only. It has no connection to any of the company's other models; it is made in all important mechanical respects from MB predecessors; and Chrysler did absolutely nothing to market it or to promote it properly. If Chrysler has no loyalty to the car, then why should its owners have any loyalty to the company? It was branded a Chrysler because that's what the bosses of DCX decided to do, but that doesn't change the facts. It is much more a unique "Crossfire" than it is a "Chrysler," and I'm happy to badge it accordingly. To be perfectly frank, the real mistake was ever calling it a "Chrysler" at all.
