Aftermarket Pioneer headunit, getting back subwoofers to work?
Hey.. this is something that has always bothered me but never really took the time to ask / figure out...
I have a pioneer deh-4800mp headunit... not the best & probably lacking a ton of features that expensive headunits have... I only bought it so I could hook up my iPod and that it matches the interior quite nicely...
Anyways, it seems like it is not putting out any bass on my back subwoofers.. (I know they suck anyways, but they are literally doing nothing!)
I'm not really a stereo guru, so... it feels like all of the bass is coming out of the big speakers on the doors.
My stereo has a few options that I don't really know if they will make a difference
1. High pass filter, not really sure what this does
2. It has an option to set the "rear speakers" as "sub-woofer" only...I used the Scosche wiring harness & i'm not sure if I bypassed the factory amp or not so I don't know if they truly are sub-woofers only or not..
3. it also has an option that is "reverse subwoofer"... not sure what this does..
i tried reading my manual but everything I tried my back subwoofers don't do anything.. i know they are not boomboxes but with the stock headunit I was getting a little more (lot more) boom out of them!
thanks in advance
