I don't really mind the sound, let's me know I'm going faster than the speed limit, can be good

There's always the "turn up the radio" noise reduction system. :P

I would seriously not mess with the system unless you know what you are doing in terms of driving a lose vehicle at high speeds, your car and you may not be the only things or ones you hurt if something goes wrong.
