Default Re: Oil Filter Alternative

I'm going to hold back and wait for a sale on K&N oil filters. I don't need it until spring so I can be patient. I picked up some Mobil 1 0w 40 today for around $5 a quart plus tax. A oil change is sure costly on a Crossfire. About the cheapest you can get the supplies for is over $56! A Chrysler dealer will get over $100 for a change. I have one free oil change coming as part of my purchase of my new 05. I am nervous about letting the dealer touch it!! I had bad experiences years ago in NY where dealers were charging customers for oil changes that they never did (car would sit untouched). I picked up a habit of marking the old filter with a marker before hand. Can't do that on a Crossfire!
