i didn't like the way the antenna looked right behind the center spine of the roof, so i used molding tape and put it right at the top of the hatch glass. i have no signal loss issues, and the tape hold the antenna really well.

when i decide to put in the dedicated Sirius box instead of using the Visor i have, i will hack a section of the cable out so i don't have to find something to do with all the extra wire. i have shortened satrad antenna wire (even though the manual says not to do it) and again have NO loss in signal.
