Agree with Utah12, the Last place to cut cost, engine components are vital, best possible flitration will prevent you having to shell out about 3K on pre mature engine failure,
Think about it what would you think if surgeon patched you up with kleenex and piece of scotch tape rather than proper bandages, it would work but you would be open to infection.
