Default Re: SRT6 Engine Transplant

Have not directly mated them up yet, but did create templates at a MB engine remanufacturer http://www.mercedesengines.net/ for comaprison long before I purchased the engine and researched it to death with Mike . The bell housing bolts are identical, the flywheel bolts are identical, splines are identical, etc.

I'm looking at the parts catalog right now, and the cranks have the same part number, though there was a part number change on engines built after 02/04/2004. The SRT sales code is EGZ and the N/A sales code is EGX. There is a thrust bearing and "repair" bearing size difference which lead me to believe that they changed the shaft diameter on engines built after 02/04/2004

Not to say we didn't overlook anything, but I'm pretty confident they will mate perfectly... It would be funny as hell if they didn't Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong...
