You have to make sure your garage door open is compatable. It has to operate at the correct frequency. I have a Clopay opener and they use a different frequency. Some of the companies are changing the frequency and homelink isn't keepeing up. You then have to buy an adapter that changes the frequency of the opener. If you contact homelink, they can tell you what frequency they require then contact the opener company and see if it's the same. After buying the adapter mine now works.
