Garage door opener to program in car
I have a 2001 Chrysler Sebring Convertible and a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country, both with the Homelink transmitters. I have never gotten either one to work. I came close with one, but when it closed one door it opened the other one. So I gave up and use the units that came with the garage door openers. It will be interesting to see if the Xfire control works.
I just read the manual again...It says to Turn off the engine.
Programmed fine for my security gate. But, the range is very short, and once inside, seems even shorter (I assume the transmitter is right in that unit, thus its shorter range from the rear).
I have to pull within 3 feet or so to make it work on opening, and start it closing before I have even cleared the gates.
Also, If my neighbors are on their porch with their cordless-phone it won't work, and I have to remember my punch code. But, that is not a problem with the units that came with the gate.
