WOW ! As some of you know, I'm in law enforcment. In TN. it is a felony to run from the police in a motor vehicle. Why would you want to go from a misd. ticket to a felony ?? Let alone the fact that you endanger the safety of the public. Anyone who runs in a motor vehicle should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. If the driminal is dealt with harshly, then these senseless pursuits would stop. On a side note, I personally think that the fact that some police departments will not allow officers to pursue fleeing suspects creates more crime that it prevents because the criminals know that if just refuse to stop they are "home free" so to speak. In my opinion, someone who flees in a motor vehicle should have a trip to the hospital before they go to jail.
