With that said - windshield tint darker then 40% will give you visual problems at night - I did mention it can be pretty dark looking out my side windows (15%) at night in dark areas (If there are street lights - It's no problem)

The real reason for prohibiting windshield tint is red light cameras - they can't get a good picture of you when you run the red light.
I think if you check most state tint laws, you will find that they were passed before red light cameras became popular. By the way, why are you running red lights (and risking your Crossfire)?
