The real reason for prohibiting windshield tint is red light cameras - they can't get a good picture of you when you run the red light.
In BC canada, the camera snaps a picture of your licence plate. it doesn matter who is driving your car, the ticket is issued to the registered owner.
They now have Kangaroo traffic court in BC where some JP finds you guilty regardless...I went to court with my son over a speeding ticket...They didnt get the make of car right. The officer did not have to be present. A fill in court cop pleased the cops story. He outright lied about where he clocked my son. I know because I pulled over in my car to let him catch up after stopping for light. The road has many curves and the cop lost sight several times...The JP says nope the road is Str8 and there is only one curve at the end b-4 the bridge. After being convicted you have the option to appeal which has been privatised and will cost you $175 or more for the priveledge of defending yourself in a real court before a real Judge... The law has become a pathetic gong show and is designed only to tax you at every chance. The latest is a Ghost truck with an N (new driver sign).
Red light cameras do nothing to prevent the running of the light...It just catches you after the fact. A drunk could run the entire length of the city and kill someone on the other side, and all the light cameras in the world would have done nothing to prevent it...Take the officer off the hwy and place him at a traffic light...That prevents accidents.
BTW my son just got pulled over for a speeding ticket and they nabbed him for the side window tint...Get this, you have to get the tint removed then pay to have your car inspected. Cha Ching!
