I have my TomTom XL mounted to a circular bean bag. Forgot the brand, but garmin makes one. They all have a hard flat center that the standard suction mount sticks to. The weight of the bag and the non skid bottom keeps it in place on the Xfire textured dash.

I needed a way to use it on multiple cars, and this works for me. And it fits in the glovebox just fine.
