youll both be disappointed then. i did want a permanent mounting solution, and even more important than that was getting the power cord out of my way while i was driving.
the nuvi 200 comes with that ball-and-socket suction cup mount. I removed the ball/suction cup part entirely. Then i sawed off the socket from the clip-on mount (so its now flat). that flat mount is attached to the dash (1 screw). Then i ran the power cord through the a/c vent right below it and routed it to a power source (the radio power).
i have a spare mount and power adapter, so if someone needs to borrow it, thats covered too.
i love the result. no power cord to worry about getting tangled up in, and if/when i sell the car, the garmin goes with it; its worth 1 screw hole. but sorry it doesnt help you solve your problem.
