I have a Nuvi 200, but I actually like the suction cup windshield mount better. It's so much easier to see the map and info when it is at windshield level. You can follow the info it displays without having to take your eye off the road. I've had vent mounted and lower devices in the past and in heavy traffic it's easy to get yourself into trouble looking down at your GPS.
