New or used has nothing to do with it. It's a crap shoot no matter what. The G35 was a brand new car that I ordered from the factory, waited 90 days to get it, and had .5 miles on the odometer. Many, many G35s with the 298 hp engine (came only with the 6 speed) had this problem. The Mustang was brand new also.
