I am shopping for a new detector myself. Been doing a lot of resarch. The Escort 9500i is one of the best rated. Valentine is good as well so is the Bel Pro RX65. I used to have one. My current detector is a few years old and it is supposed to jam as well. It is made by RMR (Rockey Mountain Radar) and I have received tickets with it. I think it was when they used Laser but nevertheless, I have read reviews that they don't work well at all. I am going for a Cobra XRSR9G this time around. It has a remote install with a VERY cool remote for inside the car that you place anywhere that is about the size of a Motorola Sliver Cell phone for all the read outs. Since the Crossfire is limited on room inside and anything hanging from the visor may be distracting and in line of sight, I am trying one out.
